"Oh my god, I was a virgin"Shaz FM: Its My Life by Bon Jovi
Feeling: Tired
So quickly has the week gone by. Soon I'll be sitting my exams. I'm a bit nervous for next week, I don't know why. I have that feeling where I think that I have so much more to do and I'm not prepared *sigh* HSC gets to you. Thank god I haven't like fizzed out by the end of the week like some people can if they don't get enough sleep. Luckily, I have some people pushing me to sleep early *coughchriscough*. Right now, it's just past 8pm but Im going to bed. My eyes are getting tired so I think I'll sleep now, and wake up early tomorrow to continue work. I've got my whole weekend planned out. Focussing more on maths, english and chinese, with a bit of business. I think I can start studying for drama come tuesday. I have gotten all my notes, its just studying the plays more intensely, remembering quotes etc. Timetable is as follows:
- Monday 23/4/07 - English Advanced (125 minutes) at 8.30am; Chinese Beginners (125 minutes) at 12pm.
- Wednesday 25/4/07 - Business Studies (125 minutes) at 8.30am
- Thursday 26/4/07 - Mathematics (185 minutes) at 12pm
- Friday 27/4/07 - Drama (95 minutes) at 12pm
I'm quite happy with my timetable. Quite spaced out for me to practice in between. And to add more sweetness, we have a long weekend after exams because the week after is Labour Day. My parents are coming down here on sunday or monday to spend a day or two with me. On Saturday, I shall be attending the KidsREAD Volunteer Appreciation Day for us who have been coming since last year. In case you guys didnt know, I do community service reading books to little children. I have been doing it for more then a year now. It feels great to be able to know how to handle different kids and to have them know your name (even if it took like 6 months for them to remember mine :P). That's in the early afternoon then around 7pm, I'll be in Orchard with Bec looking at a fashion show woot. There's this boutique which sells dresses and we're both gonna go check it out. Oh yes, a packed weekend which is deserved after my exam block however my exams are far from over. The week after, I still have my listening on Wednesday, then speaking and reading aloud on Friday for Chinese, a whopping 15% of my final grade so I'll be needing to practice that.
Yesterday, besides having to study my butt off, I went to see Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit at the Drama Theatre in the National Library with Mr. and Mrs. Toppin, both teachers at my school. Mr. Toppin is a Physics teacher who thought me in Year 10 and Mrs. Toppin has been my drama teacher since Year 10. Its a bummer that both of them are leaving at the end of July for Shanghai. A last change before they retire. It's sad because I absolutely adore these two teachers but it'll be a fascinating journey. Was talking to them about it before the play. This company called Wild Rice performed a Singaporean adaptation of the play. They did an excellent job. The title for this post comes from the play. It's a bit complicated to explain the play so maybe another time, I'll explain. By the way, the reason I went to watch the play is because for my Drama Individual Project (Poster and Promotion Design), I'm doing Private Lives by Noel Coward, and it would be good research to see another of his plays, plus get ideas for my promotion and poster :) Alrighty, that's enough of an update from me. Off to bed. Wish I could say thank god it's the weekend. No, cause I'm not gonna be doing anything stellar, but good because I can have more hours to study hehe. Ta xx
