Full days gone

Hilary and me

Today was the last full day EVER for us Year 12s and our high school life. I had a free this morning which was used to write the last of my letters for teachers and friends. I gave Ms. Dethlefs her letter and present yesterday. She gave me a gift this morning. A crunchie bar and a note. The note is so adorable. Second period was chinese, where we spent the time talking about superstitions. I gave my teachers gifts before chinese. Mr. Hudson said my letter nearly gave him a tear in his eyes and he did the same for our class when he held us in class and gave a farewell speech.

Chinese Class with Mr. Hudson

Recess was spent handing out letters to the rest of my friends. I got a mixture of responses for them really. Some of them thanked me and hugged me. The ones I apologised to told me that I didnt have a reason to apologise for and thanked me for the letter. I got hugs from some of my teachers which was sweet. Lunchtime there was a party by the Captains. That was pretty fun. After lunch we had another class party, where I took a lot of pictures and watched the primary kids have a mock riot (which is illegal in singapore btw). Now I'm back at home wondering what I need to do for Valedictory tomorrow night.

It's rather scary that we're leaving all of this behind. My wonderful teachers who have pushed me in the right direction and encouraged and motivated me, the friends I've come to know and become close with, the school and country I got to know and come to love. My mind keeps drifting back to when I started Year 7, thinking that I had a long way to go before I graduated from high school and look at where I am now, only 2 more periods of class, foundation day assembly, final assembly, valedictory and the HSC. I suppose the last days of high school make you reflect on past mistakes. That's one of the reasons why I wrote those letters, to show some friends my appreciation for them as well as to apologise for things I could've done better in the past. If they dont accept my apologies, then whose to say I didnt try. It's quite scary to be moving into the world, and its even more not knowing what's to happen after this, going back straight to KL and all that. I'm really hoping my dad will let me stay a few more days to hang with friends and say goodbye. I'm bummed that people won't be around on my birthday but at least I can make it worth it with family and a few friends in KL. I can always catch up with people after, that's considering if I'm actually in the country or not..

Eric, me and Achek

Definitely have to sleep early tonight if I want to look normal tomorrow night haha. At least my parents are coming down and I'll be staying in their hotel for the night. I think more to come later after I decide what I want to do for Valedictory and prepare my gear. Will update more after tomorrow. For Final Assembly, we're singing a rocked out version of the school song. Can't wait haha. Ta xx

1 day of proper school left.
44 days till the end of HSC.
